How to Build a Healthy Self, Public Talk

How to Build a Healthy Self
.
The Buddhist path leads to liberating insight into the nonexistence of a fixed, independent self, which so often keeps us painfully opposed to others. Interestingly, this great endeavor begins seemingly at odds with the ultimate goal—by building a healthy and stable sense of self through meditation practice.
This healthy self is not one that celebrates its achievements but is rooted in virtues of compassion, selflessness, perseverance, and patience.
While modern society frequently offers “quick” routes to happiness, Buddhism teaches us not to skip essential steps. By cultivating the inner landscape of our mind, we create fertile ground for deeper experiences that come quietly, in moments of dedication and mindfulness.
Join us this month as we explore how nurturing Buddhist virtues can support us in life and relationships at a public lecture by teacher Žarko Andričević, held on November 20th, on the topic “How to Build a Healthy Self.”
Public talk is open to all and it is a great opportunity to get more information about our activities and how to join them.
Talks are held via Zoom. Simultaneous English translation is provided. Join here.
