Mental Health From the Chan Perspective, public talk

Mental Health From the Chan Perspective
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear “mental health”?
Less stress? Finding inner balance? Coping better with life’s challenges?
From the Chan perspective, mental health is actually about freedom! It’s freedom from that tight, constricted perspective of “me, myself, and mine” that creates so much of our tension and anxiety in the first place.
The path to that freedom starts with gently meeting that painful, cramped “small self.” Through meditation, we gradually nurture a healthier, more spacious “Self” that understands its deep connection to others and the world around us. This is how we become more generous, compassionate, and open—truly mentally healthier.
In this spirit, we are happy to announce the start of a new season of our online public talks with teacher Žarko Andričević!
This talk is a perfect chance for us to explore together how ancient Chan wisdom can shed light on the modern challenges of our everyday lives.
It is open to all and it is a great opportunity to get more information about our activities and how to join them.
Talks are held via Zoom. Simultaneous English translation is provided. Join here.
