Why Satisfaction Isn’t So Satisfying, Public Talk

Why Satisfaction Isn’t So Satisfying

The world of desires persistently whispers provocatively – buy, achieve, win – a reward, happiness awaits you. Desires light up and burn, while the feeling of satisfaction evaporates and creates a new, even more intense thirst.

Buddha compared the craving to fulfill sensual desires to drinking salt water – the more we drink, the thirstier we become. Insatiable quenching of thirst through excessive spending, consumption and exploitation of resources deepens our own and others’ suffering and seriously endangers ecosystems.

Join this public talk by teacher Žarko Andričević – discover whether it is possible to quench thirst and where the traces of true pleasures lie.

Join the last online meeting before the summer break – let’s listen to how constant desire spins us in a cause-and-effect circle of unattainable happiness.

Public talk is open to all and is a great opportunity to learn more about the work of our Center and how to join our activities.

Simultaneous English translation is provided.
