Nine-Day Chan Meditation Retreat

Nine-Day Chan Meditation Retreat
This retreat is considered especially valuable. Over the course of nine days we can bring the mind into a state of continuous focus or one-mind. Such deep immersion opens the gate into seeing one’s own nature and the transformative experience that Chan leads into.
Retreat structure is a result of a long tradition. It requires a set of conditions — place, group, teacher, rhythm, and methods — that support our efforts to deepen the practice. It is called intensive because in its pace, it corresponds to monastic retreats.
Life during meditation retreat is regulated by a series of rules – wake up time is 5am, and rest is at 10pm. The whole day is dedicated to meditation. The main rule is to uphold the silence, which includes digital silence and you will be kindly asked to leave your mobile phone and similar gadgets behind. Daily schedule cannot be changed. If you know you cannot fulfil these conditions, please do not apply.
We expect your arrival on the first day, Friday by 4.30pm. We end the following Sunday around noon.
Retreat is held in-person at the Hartovski Vrh Retreat Center.
