This introduction to meditation course is led by Chan master Žarko Andričević and it is the basic feature of our program for more than 30 years. The course takes place over one weekend and it offers two daily lectures accompanied by practice periods. You will learn what is Chan meditation, why is it important to cultivate our mind and how to do it.
The topics include:
- correct meditation posture
- approaches to breathing
- yoga exercises
- prominent Chan methods for settling the mind
- how to understand experiences in meditation
- what is the general theory and degrees in Chan meditation
- how to apply its principles in everyday life
Course is suitable for beginners as well as for anyone who is already practicing meditation but wants a thorough introduction to its philosophy and practice.
You can join in-person at Hartovski vrh retreat center or online. We recommend in-person attendance for a more rounded experience. English translation is provided via Zoom. If you plan to join online, bear in mind that real-time participation is required.
