The Day of Meditation retreat is a gentle introduction into the ways of extended meditation sessions for beginners or relaxed meditation sessions for experienced practitioners. It can be seen as a day of peace that everyone should grant themselves from time to time. In addition to working with a Chan teacher, we have the opportunity to learn to apply meditation methods in sitting positions, but also in the form of walking, exercising or while performing simple tasks. By focusing on one thing, we leave behind the multiplicity and dispersion of our own mind. Thus, we leave the past behind, postpone the planning of our future and immerse ourselves in the fullness of the present moment. In it we can discover ourselves without our habitual relations, we can illuminate our inner emotional turmoil and achieve peace of mind. To find a peaceful place in oneself means to leave behind the life of conflict and achieve a life of harmony — with oneself, with others, as well as the world.
Along with our group meditation sessions, during that day, we live as a community — we share lunch and work, thereby creating an atmosphere of mutual help and support that is of the greatest importance in spiritual practice.
The Day of Meditation retreat is open to all those who have already been to a meditation course and have a well-established meditation practice.
