A three-day meditation retreat is the first step into a more sustained meditation practice. It is suitable for beginners and those who, for any reason, find it difficult to follow the more demanding rhythm of intense retreats, but still want to taste the silence of meditation. It is also intended for everyone who wants to get better acquainted with the methods of Chan practice and deepen their experience of meditation. The atmosphere is mild and relaxed, but it still provides the conditions for discovering the deeper layers of our being, mostly hidden and invisible in the turmoil of everyday life, but very much worth knowing.
The day begins at 6 a.m. and includes periods of sitting meditation, yoga practice, mindful work practice, lectures, and provides the opportunity to discuss one’s method with the teacher. It ends at 10 p.m. The basic theme of the retreat is the relaxation of the body and mind through a constant return to the present moment. That is accomplished using the meditation on breathing in stillness, and mindfulness of the body in movement. Retreat is an opportunity to create deeper stability and peace, which can then be transferred to everyday life upon return. It is open to anyone who has been on a meditation course and on a one-day sitting.
